IDMERTC operates within the scientific environment of the University of Sciences, Techniques and Technologies of Bamako (USTTB). It brings together expertise in medical entomology, epidemiology, laboratory science and field research.

Dr Nafomon Sogoba
A specialist in vector-borne diseases, his research focuses on mosquito ecology, spatial epidemiology, geographic information systems and vector control.
He contributes to the training of researchers in epidemiology, entomology and spatial analysis.
Dr Yaya Ibrahim Coulibaly
A specialist in neglected tropical diseases, he also leads the Neglected Tropical Diseases Research Department at ICER-Mali, FMOS/USTTB.
His work combines surveillance, implementation research and equitable access to interventions. He supervises research teams and contributes to higher education.
